The Election
One day until the election. I am not really worried about whether or not the one I vote for ends up winning the election or not. The real ELECTION goes unseen. According to Romans 13:1, "Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God." So whoever becomes the next president is the one God has put in place. God establishes all authority. Man rules, but God overrules. May God be glorified.

I really enjoyed the sermon yesterday. It's amazing how relaxed I am now as I consider the election from a completely different perspective. Thanks for the insight! I even brought my notes and my Bible to work today to share the scriptures with a coworker! Thanks again!
What really hit me yesterday was the idea of spending time sharing the love of Jesus with others rather than preaching a political party. Thanks for the reminder as all the craziness begins today and tomorrow to focus on Christ and not a candidate...
In Matthew 28:18, Jesus says that "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me." I am thankful that my savior "trumps" not only our elected officials, but also my circumstances. We don't have to depend on the President or any form of government to solve any of our problems. Let's put our trust completely into the one in whom all authority has been given.
Isn't it a "funderful" day? Thanks for the message Sunday. It was awesome and from the comments I have heard since then I would say "one idea could change everything." How innovative our God is-using the truth to set His people free! And using an election to bring forth the message of His Election is awesome. Today, my focus will be on reflecting God. Sunday's innovative message replaced uncertainity with passion which ignited in us an increasing creativity to reach those who are far from Christ, or to help those who are hurting. Like the four men who broke through the roof to get their crippled friend to Jesus, motivated believers don't see obstacles. They create opportunities. As motivated believer's we don't have to worry about the elections outcome, for God is our provider; we have more than enough. "Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God (2 Peter 1:3) All it takes is one idea to solve an impossible problem. Chris, thanks for being God's messenger.
